So the latest is that eemo and sahng dae (Teem) have made melinda sign a contract promising that she will no longer complain or call anyone in OUR family regarding their marital issues. They even took her cell phone away! If she fails to comply she'll be "thrown out on the street" with out the kids. According to mom, Since Melinda has no family she felt scared and had no choice but to sign. The contract is not a legal document.
Eemo is now thrilled that she won the "war" (and is probably thanking Jesus) and hates mom and our family

Since hadaba-gee died, there is no anchor to that generation anymore. No one to consult with. No one to lay-down-the-law. No more honor to defend. No one to say you're "numba one!!" Everyone seems to be competing with each other and quick to talk shit or stab each other in the back. Like children, our aunts and uncles are quick to blame each other or someone else for their mistakes. It has now become a matter of who's family is the least 'shameful.' Now Yongee samchune is raising some issues with mom. Talking how we don't respect his wife, how we eat and run, how we never visit H-money except on birthdays and holidays.

As far as bowing for dollars, I think we should honor
H-money and go. Fuck the rest of the bunch and what they think. I would much rather make them realize their own shameful behavior by displaying some honorable behavior.
Someone in Teem's family is going to die. Either murdered, suicide, or man-slaughter. I'm not joking, I'm dead serious!(ignore the pun).

Melinda left a message on my cell phone several weeks ago she was scared. She said that sang dae had a gun and she was scared for her life. When I called her back, I found out that she was abused by sang dae and her mother-in-law for most of her married life. The M.P. were called on several occasions and sang dae was forced to take anger management classes and she still stayed with him. But when melinda realized that sang dae did not care about her in any way and that her life was in danger, she woke up. She called me for support which I gave willingly.When sang dae found out that melinda had been talking to me, he and sue made her believe that it was all a set up and that I had told them everything that she,melinda had said. Sue had legally binding paper drawn which essentially states that melinda would lose everything even her children if she tried again. Melinda was forced to sign this horrible document as well as beg forgiveness from sang dae, his mother and sue. Sang dae's mother calls halmoni and brags that she "fixed everything" that sue provided papers that melinda signed so that she would stay obedient. Sang dae's mom also blames me for messing with melinda's head. She claims that melinda was perfectly happy until I gave her suggestions of leaving. This she also told to the pastor & several members of K.U.C. She also tells halmoni that mom is jealous of her because she has 2 successful kids, a lawyer & dentist and mom's children are such a mess. I bet sang dae's mom is the one who suggested to samchoon that we eat & run, don't respect his wife etc. Sang dae, sue and their mom is essentially dead to me. How can they not look at melinda and see a human being? Why are they treating her as if she were a slave? My heart breaks for melinda and what really upsets me is that melinda thinks that I betrayed her. Please lets pray for her, only God can help her now. I am thinking of ways to reach her - I feel like she has completely shut down & given up.
That being said, we will have new year's day celebrations at mom's. I think we should start a new tradition of going to our parents' home to pay respect and to teach our children to pay respects to us. I don't know about any of you but I don't really don't want to go there to trade fake niceties. That would take too much effort.

bubbles...i tried to drink as much as i could...it's just too easy to get me sloshed nowadays....as far as the family drama.....just goes to show that there is no correlation between "good people" and church goers....well maybe there is- "good people" don't go to church!
The only 'good' thing I got out of church was...free fried chicken, oh yeah, and kool aid(no pun intended)..."tastes like le-mons."
