Just want to say that people should have given us a heads up if no one was coming to Martha's for dessert. Renee (who is 7 months pregnant) worked very hard on Wednesday to make 3 different desserts, enough for 20+ people, and then no one showed. Renee's mom also worked to make a homemade dessert to feed everyone.
As I hear the facts roll in (Mary bought desserts, Judah took beer back home) it was clear that coming to Martha's was not ever part of the plan and I would have appreciated it if you could have let us know so Renee could have relaxed a bit, if not in the cooking, then in the plating.

Sorry. I let martha know that my family was not going to be there. I emailed her days before thanksgiving. From talking to the rest of the family, no one committed to Martha about Martha's after dinner.
yes...i should have called as well...noah has been fighting a cold/flu for a couple of days now and by the time we were finished dinner, both kids were cranky and ready for bed....cynthia and i were just looking forward to some peace by then...no excuse, though, i should have called...sorry guys
I feel awful about what happened. I thought that we were not going to Martha's. Sam and I decided that it would be too much to move the kids from place to place, and I'm unsure where the lines of communication broke. Nevertheless, the situation turned out wrong, and for that, I'm VERY SORRY.

I am sorry that Renee and her mother's hard work was not able to be appreciated. But, at the time, I understood that the reason for the dessert-invite was so that the Kim family could all be together (since you guys wanted to do something separate). There were two events so I thought it would be okay to decline. Why didn't anyone call if you were expecting all of us???
Don't get me wrong, "Anonymous" I don't care if anyone declined, it just would have been nice to know ahead of time.
In any case it's water under the bridge. Let's just all be better about doing what we say and saying what we will do.
